3 years ago, I was sitting in a 1930’s vintage-themed lounge in the city of Anaheim, Ca. The ambiance was just right with the delicate sounds of themed jazz playing in the background, small plates of food, and great drinks!I spent several hours casually engaged in what seemed like an extraordinary conversation with family and friends. In reality, it wasn’t so much the conversation that was extraordinary, it was the lounge.And so this project was born. I set out to see if something like this extraordinary lounge could work in one of our Sacramento suburbs. After several years of field research, analysis, planning, and location prospecting,“The Blue Parrot Lounge”began to take form in the lovely city of Rocklin, California.
